With Don Oswald (aka The D Man) at the helm, The Alley Hounds pack enough energy on stage to make a dead man wiggle his toes.Roots of blues, vintage rock 'n' roll, and funk create their brand of music that lends itself to any crowd.The D Man's wildly memorable guitar work is what their stage show is all about. Don began playing guitar at age four and thirty years later, it's quite obvious that he's a natural.The D Man was taught by his father, Doctor Don. For nearly forty years, Doctor Don was a huge part of the local music scene;Wowing crowds with brilliant guitar playing until his death in 2005. Born and raised in Louisville,The D Man is a well known name in the music community. Known best as the front man of former Louisville favorite"Nasty Weather Blues Band", he will have the dance floor packed and on-lookers mesmerized. Joining him on stage are several veteran Louisville showmen. Johnny X on bass, Future Bob on drums,Roscoe Goose & Fuzzy Roth share the role of alternating harmonica players.Each are true professionals that have been or are in other very successful Louisville based bands.These groups range from Nasty Weather Blues Band, Doctor Don & The Love Dogs,The Juggernaut Jug Band, Razin Cain, The Clay St. Blues All Stars, and many others.These guys are no strangers to the stage.Collectively, these musicians have played about every room in the region.
The
D Man currently has two albums out. "Alone In The Blues" and his most
recent release, "Dog Creek Daddio". Dog Creek is getting air play in New
York and is selling widely on the internet. Both the band and the CD's are a
treat to check out.
